Snoqualmie Valley Health Commits $2.9 Million Investment to Advanced Diagnostic Imaging Equipment, Enriching Local Healthcare Services

SNOQUALMIE, WA – Snoqualmie Valley Health is proud to announce its latest investment in state-of-the-art medical imaging technology, further solidifying its commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to the community. The addition of a new, state-of-the-art Computed Tomography (CT) Scanner and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine marks a significant step in enriching diagnostic capabilities and patient care.

Construction began yesterday, Jan. 15, with the arrival of a mobile CT scanner. The mobile equipment will offer imaging services to patients until the expected completion of the remodel in mid-March. Following completion of the CT replacement, the installation of a new MRI will likely begin in April and is anticipated to be fully operational by late Summer.

“We are committed to offering the highest quality care to our patients. Introducing this cutting-edge technology to our community demonstrates that commitment,” stated CEO, Renée K. Jensen. “You have access to top-notch diagnostic imaging right here, and we have great access for appointments, meaning we can get you an appointment within few days, as soon as the insurance authorization is complete.”

The CT Scanner is a top-of-the-line 128-slice scanner made by Siemens that boasts cutting-edge features. This newest technology ensures the highest image quality at the lowest radiation dose, and offers faster scan times, critical for emergency situations such as stroke care. Its Metal Artifact Reduction (MAR) technology benefits patients with metal implants, significantly improving the overall image quality.

Complementing the new CT scanner upgrade is the addition of a Siemens Free Max, equipped with Super Wide Bore Technology. The 80 centimeter bore will make MRI more accessible to patients by accommodating larger and claustrophobic patients, ensuring a more comfortable patient experience. The MRI’s cutting-edge AI technology delivers unparalleled image quality, while its Metal Artifact Reduction (MAR) technology, and commitment to Green Technology with a Helium-free infrastructure, further emphasize SVH’s dedication to progressive, patient-centric healthcare.

“Our goal is to provide the best clinical outcomes and offer the most comfortable patient experience. Patients will appreciate getting scanned faster and at a lower radiation dose, and healthcare providers can depend on high-quality images with quick turnaround,” said Diagnostic Imaging Manager, Steve Bradshaw, R.T.(R)(MR). “This super wide bore technology will be the only one of its kind in Western Washington.

SVH’s Diagnostic Imaging Department provides a full range of imaging services for routine outpatient exams and accepts imaging orders from any referring providers. Now, with quick access to appointments and the latest technology, the best care is close to home.
